Unity Management & Achievements

It's the last few days of the project, and we've got to the stage where we've done all we can feasibly do with gameplay before the end of the project. The Unity team have little left to do now, and as the game is in a very playable place we're quite pleased with what we've achieved. Dean is going to quickly sort out some camera stuff for the little girl to draw in a bigger focus on her when she appears, and then that's it!

Dean will have that done by the end of the day, and then I'm going to have the file for the next day to clean it up and make sure there aren't any loose ends flying about which make it unplayable. Play-ability has been the core intention when creating Echoes, and after cleaning it up and making sure all the level links and puzzles work properly, it's looking like an actual game!

I'm incredibly pleased with what's been achieved by everyone in the team. We have completely working combat, working puzzles, working GUI system, working puzzles, sound, particle effects, custom cameras, a full two environments to play in... and on top of that what we wanted int he first place, art and animation which we created in the game!

The project is coming to an end, but I can certainly see a lot of the team working together in the future, and hopefully if all things pan out, we'll be working on another game project quite soon! While we plan to go back to Echoes and look at the possibility of marketability and reworking it, we have ideas for some small short mobile games which we want to test before we go back to Echoes.
